Although Indra's wife's real name is correct, she is also known as Indrayani because she is Indra's wife. Indra is also called Sachindra after his wife's name. On the occasion of Janai Purnima,  Once in Satya Yuga, a large army of demons attacked heaven . Seeing the demons who came to attack with a very powerful and very large army, they resisted with all their might, but in the end, nothing happened to them.

The deities had to leave Indra and run away, and all the deities, including Indra, the king of heaven, who had been defeated in the battle, went to pray in front of Gur Brihaspati, . They said to Garu Brihaspati, Oh Dev Guru, the demons attacked the heaven and caused great damage. He was asked to protect the heaven from us,

After listening to the request of all the gods, the Guru said to Indra, O God, now the demons have become very powerful. They have received the boon of heavenly victory from Brahma. So it is necessary to perform a ritual to fight their power, request Indrayani Sachi to fast for that ritual.

What is the purpose of  Purnima?

In this way Brihaspati taught Indra's wife Sachi how to fast and Sachi Devi Brihaspati completed all the procedures as per Guru's instructions. He will receive a Raksha Sutra and that Raksha Sutra will help Indra to win the battle with the demons.

In this way, Lord Indra taught his wife Sachi the method taught by Guru Brihaspati and told her all the methods of fasting on the full moon day of Shravan Shukla Paksha. The Raksha thread was ritually accepted on the wrist of his hand.

Indra got amazing power from the thread received in this way and the god King heaven was ready to fight with the demons who were under his control.

It is said that Kimbadanti is the origin of the practice of this Raksha Bandhan, and it is believed that by acquiring the Raksha Sutra, you will gain supernatural power and win over your enemies, as well as regain your lost honor and wealth.

Indra defeated the demon in the battle and tied the demon in his trap and presented them to his wife Indrayani Devi and later ordered all the demons to be imprisoned by tying the same defense thread and teaching them knowledge.
