Bhojpur,Mahbhir Waterfall in Temkamaiung Rural Municipality of Bhojpur is becoming an attractive destination for tourists. As the rural municipality pays attention to development and conservation, the number of internal and external tourists arriving here has started to increase.


Located about 29 kilometers from Bhojpur headquarters and four and a half kilometers west of the rural municipality center, the water flows equally throughout twelve months.


According to the locals, the arrival of tourists has increased with the easy access of the road. The fountain of water falling from the waterfall has attracted the attention of tourists. Local residents say that dozens of people come to enjoy the waterfall every day.


Buddhaprasad Rai, a local resident, said that if the necessary infrastructure can be developed along with further promotion of the waterfall, it will help the rural municipality in developing economic resources. He says that there will be a lot of tourists during the summer season. He informed that people come from different places to visit on Saturdays and other holidays.


 "There is an increase in the number of tourists at Mahbhir waterfall", he said, "Dozens of people come every day." If it can be given more attention in publicity, it can become a good financial source of the municipality.


 According to local resident Rai, the number of people visiting the waterfall has increased as the mid-hill road connecting Diktel, the headquarters of Bhojpur and Khotang, has been extended through this area.


 The waterfall is about two and a half kilometers from the main highway. People who travel through this area often go to see the waterfall.


 This waterfall is 60 meters high in Ward No. 4 Nagi of the rural municipality. Locals say that the name of this waterfall is Mahbhir Jharna because Bhirmauri lived there in the past years.

The water falling from the spring of twelve months has attracted the hearts of tourists. Especially during summer, more people come here to enjoy the waterfall.


 Chief Administrative Officer Sandeep Neupane said that along with the expansion of the road leading to the village, necessary structures have been built around the waterfall targeting tourists. He says that this waterfall has been established as a tourist area of ​​the rural municipality.


"Mahbhir waterfall is becoming a tourist destination of choice", administrative officer Neupane said, "dozens of people are visiting every day. We have paid attention to its development and protection. There is a plan to work on its further development and expansion in the future.


 Ramadevi Rai, the vice-chairman of the village, said that the development is being done with the aim of establishing the Mahavir waterfall as a tourist area.


Vice President Rai said that the road leading to the waterfall is being organized in collaboration with Koshi Province. Vice President Rai informed that since Temkemaiung is a rural municipality with a lot of potential for natural resources and tourism, it will be linked with tourism.


"Temkemaiyung Rural Municipality is a rural municipality with very good potential in tourism and agriculture", Vice President Rai said, "There are many tourist areas here. Along with tourism, we have engaged in development by connecting agriculture here. Mahavir Falls is developing as an established tourist destination. We are working with a plan to make it more organized.


According to him, work is being done in a planned manner mainly in the development of agriculture and tourism in the rural municipality. The rural municipality has said that it will work with priority in the development of tourist areas within the rural municipality along with this waterfall.


According to the municipality, there is a plan to expand the footpath through this waterfall for easy arrival of tourists. The village council says that the goal is to connect tourism with the economic aspect of the village council.
