Kaligarhs are celebrating Vastu Diwas and Vishwakarma Puja

Vishwakarma

Every year on the day of Kanya or Ashwin Sankranti, Kaligarhs are celebrating Vastu Diwas and Vishwakarma Puja by worshiping Vishwakarma.

This day is celebrated by ritually worshiping the sand idol or picture of Lord Vishwakarma in various workshops. This day is celebrated by specially decorating the factories and making the workers participate. An idol of Vishwakarma made of sand or other material is kept in the Vagmati spring water or other pure place. After worshiping today, the idol in the river is sold from Tuesday.

There is a religious belief that if worship is performed on the various tools used in Kaligarh these days, they will last for a long time, will not break down during work and will be able to do good work.

There is a religious belief that Vishwakarma hid Lord Krishna in the middle of the sea by making 'Bheda Dwaraka' after the demons tormented him during the Dwapara Yuga.
