Introduction

Taplejung, With the beginning of Navratri, the arrival of devotees to the famous pilgrimage site Pathibhara Temple in Taplejung has started. Devotees throng here every year during Navratri.
Millions of domestic and foreign devotees visit this temple every year, especially during Vada Dasai. On the first day of Navratri, hundreds of devotees reached the temple today, according to Pathibhara Area Development Committee.
Location
Pathibhara Temple is located in the Taplejung district of eastern Nepal. Situated at an altitude of 3,794 meters above sea level, it offers stunning panoramic views of the eastern Himalayan range, including Kanchenjunga, the world's third-highest peak.
Religious Significance :
Indra Narayan Bhattarai, a hotelier from Fedi, said that the hotels in this area are packed with tourists. Pathibhara Devi is believed to fulfill the wishes of the devotees. Along with the darshan of this temple, which is at a height of 3,794 meters above sea level, religious tourists from the country and abroad come to see the view of the high mountain range.
Bhattarai said that every year there is a rush of devotees during Dasai because it is suitable to worship the goddess during Navratri and the weather opens up during this time.
Chief District Officer Gomadevi Chemjong said that with the beginning of Pathibhara darshan time, necessary arrangements have been made for the convenience of the pilgrims. She informed that in the meeting held at the administration office, it was agreed to coordinate with the relevant agencies to manage the arrival of the pilgrims.
Chemjong said that everyone has committed to work responsibly from their respective areas to solve problems such as easy transportation, housing, security, and congestion in the Pathibhara area.
Hindu Belief:
For Hindus, Pathibhara Temple is one of the most sacred places in Nepal. It is dedicated to Goddess Pathibhara, who is believed to be a form of the goddess Sati, the consort of Lord Shiva. Devotees believe that visiting this temple and offering their prayers can fulfill their wishes, bring prosperity, and remove obstacles from their lives.
Buddhist Significance:
Buddhists also revere Pathibhara Temple. They believe that this is the place where a piece of the crown of Buddha Siddhartha Gautam is enshrined. The temple holds spiritual significance for both Hindus and Buddhists, fostering a sense of unity and harmony.
